I love cooking and baking and making the things I make look pretty. That’s one of the reasons I am so excited for this Thanksgiving, it is at my house this year! This fact, and the fact that this is the first year in my life I can smell make me extremely excited! I am going to smell my first Thanksgiving and finally get what all the hype is about!
I am part of a huge Italian family; we have about 40 people coming over. We have a four course Thanksgiving. The first thing that we have is the aunti-past, (to be honest I don’t know how to spell that.) My grandma makes it for all of the big holidays and it has like 6 different kinds of meet and 4 different kinds of cheese,with 3 kinds of olives and tuna. We also have nuts and a huge food tray. After the aunti-past we have a big salad bar with a bunch of different types of lettuce and tuns of toppings to choose from along with a bunch of dressings.
The second course is the general stuff the mashed potatoes, yams, carrots, peas, corn, two kinds of stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls and gravy and of course the turkey! We usually make two kinds of turkey, we bake one in the oven like normal, and we also deep fry one. (this one is honestly nasty!)
Finally the fourth course we have is the pies ice cream, and cookies. Every year the kinds of pies change usually we always have the normal ones though like pumpkin and apple and blueberry. I am just really excited about everything.
