Run Around

Being a commuter, I don’t really have all the time in the world to just hang out on campus. I am the type of person who needs their own space where they can have everything they need and be comfortable. I don’t have that here in campus, the closest thing I have is my car which is parked so far away I only visit it twice a day, when I get here and when I leave. Thus, I try to go home whenever I am given the chance because I like my own space and I feel most productive there. (I also have a constant nagging feeling to always have my homework done)

As bad as all of this is, I also feel like I should try to stay on campus sometimes and try to have fun here. So last week my boyfriend invited me to go see College Humor with him. Of course I had to baby sit that night, so that Tuesday afternoon after classes I rushed home and sped through all of my homework. Then I went baby sitting, I was finished just about fifteen minutes before the show started. I got in my car and headed over to Southern and only missed about the first ten minutes of it.

I was really happy I went because the show was really funny, and Jake and Amir (the two main performers) were really nice. It was nice to get to hang out with everyone too. But I didn’t like that I had to do all of that driving around, I felt like my entire day was rushed because of it. In all honesty, I am not sure how many events I really want to attend because I feel like it is such a hassle to get there and back. Hopefully I will fall into a better routine and that will help me with being able to manage my school work and social life.
